Each project has its own requirements and its own challenges. For this reason we cannot guarantee a particular price. However, we understand the need to compare prices and make cost estimates.

This page describes our pricing process and will hopefully help you ballpark software development costs. Ultimately, you should contact us with information about your project. We would be happy to sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement and provide a free consultation.

How We Price Projects

We can price a project either as a fixed amount, hourly as needed or a combination of both.

Fixed Pricing

In most cases we can offer a fixed price for your project. We take the following steps to price a project.

1. If not already available we first develop a clear and sufficiently detailed project specification.
2. Given the specification we break down the project into major tasks and make estimates on how long each part will take to implement.
3. The hourly estimates are totaled and a margin for error is added.
4. Based on our hourly rate for the particular type of work we come up with a total price.
5. A proposed project plan with pricing and scheduling information is presented to the customer.

Once an agreement is signed we stand by our price. A large part of our success is due to our ability to correctly estimate software development plans.

Hourly Pricing

For some projects it is very difficult to plan all the details ahead of time in such cases it may make more sense to bill by the hour. When billing by the hour we carefully log our time in 15 minute intervals and periodically submit an invoice and time-card to the customer for payment.

Our Rates

Our rates vary depending on the type of work, our current available and the scheduling requirements of the project. Although we cannot guarantee a particular price with out first discussing your project we usually charge between $65 and $95 dollars per hour.

Payment

We accept payment by check, wire transfer or direct deposit. Once an agreement is made Customers are generally required to pay 30% up front for fixed priced projects or a retainer fee for hourly billing.
